I am puzzled with what is driving up oil price from 50 to 150 dollar per barrel in less than 2 year’s time. Isn’t the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan serve to secure oil supply? Some factors that I can think of are:

2. reducing OPEC production
3. weakening of dollar

We have minerals leased to an oil and gas company for the last couple of years. They just sent us a 1099, does this mean that they are about to drill?

we got a natural gas truck a few weeks ago, and have already managed to save like 0.
of course, if everyone was using natural gas, the price would go up some, but definatly not 4 bucks.
