If we move to ethanol then the price of corn is going to go through the roof. Doesn’t Obama care about food prices? Why not let the market decide which energy is best. Right now the market is moving towards Natural Gas. Why don’t the Demonrats mind their own business?

Im trying to write an essay on oil drilling in florida and keep coming across the term exploration block.
Here’s an example: Iraq plans to auction 12 "exploration blocks", believed to contain mostly gas reserves, in November as part of the country’s efforts to capture natural gas for electricity generation, the country’s oil minister said [...]

Hi, I am currently a junior pursuing a civil engineering degree. However, after working for a petroleum engineering company, I became extremely interested in the petroleum engineering field. The problem is my university does not offer this as a major.
I was just wondering, does anyone know if it would better my chances of being [...]

I’ve heard everything from 10 to 100. Is there a range? (Does heavy crude require xxx while light crude require x?)
Specifically I am wondering about a refinery like the Irving Oil Refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. It apparently refines 300 000 bpd, shipped in from somewhere…anybody know where?
Thanks

Here in Ireland we have 3 private energy companies and 1 semi-State energy company. They are all increasing their prices from September, about 12% on electricity and 21% on natural gas. Not sure about home heating oil. They say this is because natural gas and electricity prices on the international markets are increasing. But what [...]
