Are the Republicans going to take Obama up on his offer of oil for health care votes?
He did promise allowing offshore drilling for oil and natural gas. So, are the repubs going to allow themselves to be bribed by Obama, or will the repubs do what the American people want and fight Pelosi and Reid on their government health care take over? Personally, I know the Repubs will sell out, what do you think?

I hope not. Drilling for oil is an important economic, energy and national security matter. The democratic health care overhaul is a power grab. They aren’t even close to being related.

that is the same BS the dems did by unblocking the offshore drilling sites a couple of years ago. Have you heard of any new offshore drilling yet? NO.

Obama didn’t consult the Republicans at any stage of the last year during the health care debate. They had no input and were not at all involved in writing the bills. The Democrats didn’t need the vote of a single Republican to pass health care. They failed all on their own with a process that produced a bill even their own party couldn’t support.

I disagree – he’s on his own trying to push sh!t uphill with the wheels loose
backers?………….they are distancing themselves at a million miles a minute, suddenly aware their career may be at risk with what they didn’t do FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO VOTED then into office

I’m not so sure that the Republicans will sell out as they have in the past. They have seen the landscape of the thoughts of the American people. Both sides know that we’ve had enough and are actively a part of the process. Both the Republicans and Democrats are seeing for a fact that we will vote anybody out of office that doesn’t represent our interests and it’s forcing them to go along with the conservative values and principles.
