Not to long ago, I was shelling out .80/gallon at the pump. Now, as of today, the prices in my town have reached a low of .47/gallon. That is a HUGE drop in such a short time.
I haven’t been keeping up with the news, as I don’t have TV at home, but I was curious [...]

Why did they close 2 refineres in Jan. I know it was a mild month but still. Also, most homes now run on natural gas. I didnt think that needed crude oil. I think it just shows how much price gouging is really out there. Every quarter you hear about the billons of dollars in [...]

I know they are a lot more expensive.
Are there electrical parts that need replacing by high paid technicians.
I can replace the old tank type myself for about 0.00.
Can you install the high tech type by yourself or do you need a lot of
training..
I’m leaning toward the old fashion type.
What do you think? Wile it [...]

Comprehensive Energy Plan To Lower Gasoline Prices
This is how we will do it. And this why we will do it.
This country has so much under used industrial capacity in our Auto Plants, Airplane Plants, Steel Plants and Electronics Plants to make America Energy Independent in 2 to 5 years. We can build enough windmills and [...]

We are converting to natural gas and will want to unload the big eyesore. Should we just give it away to someone if they take care of moving it or should we ask payment for the tank itself? How much is it worth?

A year or so ago, we were approached by a company called "Just Energy" Corp. and invited to sign up for a natural gas fixed price program, promising to "lock your price in now for guaranteed protection against future increases."
I guess whenever a business offers me something, my first question is, "what’s in it for [...]

Natural Gas is plentyfull and its power technology is not new. In Europe, where gasoline is always expensive, all auto manufacturers, including Ford and Opel(GM) have been manufacturing almost all of their trucks and SUVs with dual tanks for ever. One for Gasoline and one for GPL ( Liquid propane like for your grill) You [...]

It is a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice, V-8, 5 L engine.
I am tinkering with the idea to get the car converted from running on gas to run on propane/natural gas for the sake of money.
I am here just to get honest opinions of the people here how much it will cost me for the conversion.
Will it [...]

"With commodities fromm oil to natural gas to grain to meat priced in dollars and becoming more expensive as the greenback falls, consumers have to take more out of their wallets to simply buy the same amount of goods."
Why are these commodities becoming more expensive as the dollar falls if they are priced in dollars? [...]

And business? I’m asking because I thought gas was one of those natural resources that is limited, and would eventually run out? Isn’t that why they’re trying to make cars that run with electricity, or other materials and resources? I’m just asking because back in high school, I vaguely remember us discussing [...]

During Giuliani’s speech at the GOP convention, the Republican delegates broke into a "drill baby, drill" chant.
http://climateprogress.org/2008/09/05/drill-baby-drill-the-moment-the-republic-died/#more-3729
I don’t understand this. Currently oil companies hold the rights to drill on offshore land with 34 billion barrels of oil estimated below. California is not going to allow drilling off our coast, which leaves potentially another [...]

The cost of oil, natural gas, electricity are all at record highs. Refineries are at capacity, Electric plants cant supply enough, and america cant drill for its own resorces. Are they in the pocket of big energy?

increase the cost of gas in the long run? Because If there is less demand, then the cost goes up right? So isnt getting better gas mileage worse for the price of gas? Or is it more about the environment. Which by the way, global warming is a plot to get everyone scared and spending. [...]

Obama said yesterday that he would increase prices on oil, natural gas, and coal. Economists say that is the ‘Trifecta of disaster’- the ‘Perfect Storm’ if you will. It will inflte the price of everything that is transported (which means EVERYTHING). You have already seen the effect from that at the grocery store. That policy [...]

Now let me first say, this is a serious question. I know i will need to hire an electrician to run the 220 wire. And I know I will need a new furnace. What I am wanting to find out is what would the price (a ballpark figure) be to buy a electric furnace.
And [...]
