Do you think this career plan is realistic?

Alright after college I plan on becoming a Petroleum Landman and doing that for about 5 years, then become an independent landman and do that for about 3 years, and after that gather some investors and start my own oil and gas exploration company….my main goal is to be making 7 figures by the time I’m 33.
@Spotty J- So your telling me that I can’t become a millionaire?

    Stick to your plan, and don’t let people pull your dream away from you.There are crude oil reserves waiting for your expertise.One is in the ocean between Thailand and Cambodia. It is huge.

    it doesn’t sound like you can become a Landman straight out of college. You will probably have to spend a few years as an assistant to a Landman to gather necessary experience.

    But otherwise its a decent plan. Even if you do not end up with 7 figures, you will likely have 6. Keep an eye out for shale gas/oil and wind farms – they are the new big thing.

    I don’t think you’re smart enough to pull it off. McDonald’s is hiring.

    All successful mediocres brag of early planning. keep going.

    No, you would be making 7 figures within 3 years of starting independently which is unlikely. You would have a better chance of making that money that quickly if you went to a top university and got into financing.
