GM’S recent decision to get rid of 11 profitable lines of SUV’S and trucks and replace them with smaller more economical cars or in other words green cars. (The government now controls GM)
The democrats have quashed plans for exploration and drilling for oil and natural gas.
Obama plans to push the cap and trade initiatives that will raise prices of energy on all corporations especially the oil companies.
Addendum : I think global warming is a myth.

Obama is doing everything in his power to cripple the citizens of this country and he has an ulterior motive for doing so. Unfortunately the no child left behind act has failed miserably and a little over half the country voted for this man and are to proud to admit the mistake they made and join in the effort to get rid of this wannabe dictator. House Republicans apparently took the total revenues from the hypothetical cap and trade system that MIT analyzed and crudely divided it by the number of households in America, getting approximately $3,100 per family.
What they don’t mention, however, is that not only did John Reilly (MIT professor and author of the report on which the $3,100 figure is based) explicitly tell them that this was an inappropriate way to do this calculation, but that MIT had determined the net welfare effect on a typical family and the burden would be less than 1/40th what they claim, and wouldn’t occur until 2015.

i understand there are very few coastal cities regarded as republican strongholds …so drowning the seaboard in the aftermath of global warming is none of your concern…but seriously
were not intentionally trying to raise gas prices …we are tring to use less gas, more environmentally friendly energy sources, make better cars …and get OUT of bed with Saudi Arabia

I don’t know about Obama, but I’m sure there are many "environmentalists" out there who want it to be $10 per gallon. I’m all for alternative means of energy, but many people are confused as to what are sources of energy and what are storages of energy. Hydrogen fuel is a means of storing energy, you still need a source of energy to produce it in the first place. These same people are ironically the ones that have prevented the US from adopting Nuclear energy on a wide scale. Nuclear energy is a safe alternative form of energy. Only a few meltdowns have ever occured, and all those were caused by stupidity. Nuclear does not equal mushroom cloud.

GM’s average fleet fuel efficiency rating is LOWER than it was in 1925.
Democrats AND Republicans have quashed plans for drilling. Energy companies have thousands of permits for exploration and drilling in the United States that they have not used.
Capping trade initiatives or no, fuel prices are likely to rise because of global demand. The main reason they have remained low has been due to the economic slow down caused by the current worldwide recession (now dubbed The Great Recession). Remember the whole supply and demand thing?
So the answer is no, Mr. Obama does not want fuel to skyrocket to those levels, anymore than Mr. Bush did. Or would you blame the cost of fuel a couple of years ago upon Mr. Bush’s policies?

it’s being used as a push for the new world order. the global warming is crap science. they can’t even say if it will rain on friday. i live near seattle wa and our winter has been over 3 degrees colder than normal. in fact today, april 1 it snowed. they shut down the logging industry here by using the spotted owl which no one has ever seen or really cares if they do. it’s the same everywhere. the enviro nazi’s find a species or climate or whatever to rule. now they have the three stooges (pelosi, reid, and obama) on their side. pretty soon no one will have a job. even if we developed new solar technology or wind or what ever we will just have it built in china so it doesn’t pollute the earth. i guess what they do in china, india and all those places doesn’t bother theenvironmentt. only u.s. pollution causes global warming. I hate filling our landfills will billions of water bottles from liberals every day. ever see al gore drive a prius? the whole thing is ludicris.
