    I don’t get it.
You rent – it’s not hard to find another rental complex to go to with your dogs.

    aaaww..why dont you move out??/

If your lease stipulates you cannot have dogs, or dogs that are aggressive, then you have to get rid of them.

why dont you find a place for them to temporarily stay, and when your lease is up, take them back..

Why don’t you move? Don’t teach your kids that family members that misbehave will be "gotten rid" off. Find another place to live, teach the kids that family comes first. This is your chance for an important life lesson. If you will not move, fight it, get the media involved or whoever. In my area a family bought a house, they had 4 senior dogs, after they moved in, they were told the city ordinance only allows 3 dogs. They made such a stink in the local newspaper – guess what? they got to keep all of their dogs.

Please don’t give up just yet. I know it’s tough to find dog-friendly housing but can you at least try to look before getting rid of your dogs? Craigslist is a good source for finding a place that allows pets, and sometimes you can even work out a deal (pay an extra deposit, etc).

Remember that there are millions of unwanted dogs already in shelters… and hundreds who are healthy, housebroken, and well-trained are put to death every single day simply because there aren’t enough homes for them all. You don’t say how old your dogs are, but the older they get, the more difficult it is to find homes for them – it also doesn’t sound like they are the most obedient dogs, which makes it even tougher.

Do you have any friends or family who can keep them while you find a new place? Or, can you stay with friends or family until you find somewhere that will let you take them? Trust me, I know how difficult it is to find suitable, affordable housing with 2 dogs, but it can be done. Remember that even if you think you’ve found the perfect home, dogs suffer from depression and sadness too – it’s not as simple as dropping them off somewhere and hoping everything will be OK. After living with you and your family for their whole lives, it won’t be an easy transition for them.

life long companions are not given up on as easily. I would fight for this misunderstood situation. I have 2 boxers which i love plenty. If they were ever in a situation which i am to blame for my lack of training to them. i would do whatever possible to save them.

You’re renting? omg then move. I’d move countries before anyone would force me to get rid of my labradaughters, you don’t just ditch family because they messed up.

I still think you’re too quick to give up on them! I also hope you realize that large adult dogs generally don’t get adopted at the pound. In my part of the country, every other dog in the kill shelters is a lab.

You landlord may not have the right to do this if the lease permits you to have dogs. I still don’t get why you don’t at least fight for them. They have a dim outlook if you don’t.

You are honestly going to just get rid of your dogs rather than move? You made a commitment to these animals. At least you can call a lawyer and see what they think about it. If your lease says you can have dogs your landlord may not be able to force you to get rid of them.

Chz – Normally yes, but her dog attacked another unprovoked, the landlord can make her get rid of an aggressive dog, because it becomes a liability issue for them both. Her for having the dog and him for allowing the dog to be there. That alone could have had the done taken by animal control. The OP dodge a bullet with that fact.

Honestly I would seriously see if you can find someone who can take the dogs for awhile and start looking for a new place. And while you say your boxer is the sweetest dog obviously she isn’t if she went after another dog clear across the way for no reason. Your dog needs to be evaluated by a vet and a trainer.

Neighbors are complaining about my 3 little dogs
(shitzue/poodle mix x2 and 1 lovely pug. We also had someone wondering in our yard at night and at this time we did go out and purchase a 6 mth old shepherd. These dogs will bark when someone is on the street or when someone like a stupid mailman tries to pet these dogs. We do have beware of dog signs and no trespassing signs hanging up. We are also looking into 6 ft fencing and we updated our security system. These dogs are very friendly until someone takes a water gun to the dogs or throughing rocks. We have been called by the police and when they came to talk us we have done everything possible.PLEASE LET ME EXPRESS MY CONCERNING PEOPLE WHO HAVE DOGS,LOVE THEM AND ENJOY THEM WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART AND SOUL!
