Oil companys are making more profits than ever before while screaming its because the price per barrel is at an all time high.

Because the people who run this country and most of the other countries realize that they can rape the "ordinary" people in yet another way while lining their pockets even further. You would think that it would be hard for the oil companies to realize record profits right now in the midst of all the turmoil that surrounds oil …but apparently it is not. Who are the big hitters making money when there are record profits…I would bet the two nickels I have that you would find more than a handfull of our loyal, caring and trustworthy politicians up there.

The price of oil being high doesn’t mean that it costs more for them to refine it and sell it. Prices are high because their is a limited supply of oil around the world and the number of people who need to use it is increasing exponentially.

bc more people like to drive around instead of ride their bike or jogging to get exercise so they use all of their money to get gas!!!!!!!!!!

Oil companies sale gas to the service stations at the spot price(what gas is at that time on the open market). It does not cost the oil companies any more to bring the oil out of the ground and refine it.
