How high does gas have to get before America REJECTS the lunacy of liberal bedwetters and start drilling ANWR?

The Gulf of Mexico too! THIS Floridian is absolutely ready to drill.

Are the liberals so consumed with hatred of America that they are unable to realize we can easily exploit our own natural resources safely and cleanly?

Katrina destroyed a lot but not ONE drop of oil was spilled from one drilling platform in the Gulf.

America wants to know, Libs… how much does gas have to cost before you are willing to drill OUR oil?

Actually, the higher the gas prices, the more liberals are paying at the pump, therfore, the more money they put out for gas the more they can say they "don’t" have in order to get more assistance from the govt.

  2. Megara Says:

Thanks for solving all our problems.

Hey, listen – were you one of the cons who kept pointing out a few months ago that gas prices weren’t so bad and we should expect a little inflation?

    Just curious.

  3. Sponge-Ted Scotch-Pants Says:

I rejected them when gas was at .49 a gal !

  4. whimsy Says:

I think Jeb Bush put a halt to nearshore drilling in the Gulf…

Too bad no one heeded the word some 30 years ago that we need to think beyond oil. Unfortunately, some folks never learn and still think that finding more oil is somehow a "solution"…

I suggest that instead of whining about gas prices you actively participate in conservation.

Actually, America would like to know why the Republican’s were so ineffective even when having the majority in the House, Senate and White House from 2000-2006? Why couldn’t they get ANWR drilling passed then?

America wants to know, Cons – how much profit has to line Republican pockets before giving any relief to the average citizen?

  6. douglasspear12 Says:

They will change their decision if (please God no) they get someone in the White House so they can claim it was their idea and other liberal followers in denial will praise them for it. They do things like that all the time because liberals have to pretend to be a hero because they can’t actually do anything for this country but hate it and get in the way of conserving the rights.

  7. avail_skillz Says:

about as high as it has to get before America reject the lunacy of corporate elitists claiming that alternatives will destroy the economy.

ANWR will do nothing to lower fuel prices. More oil isn’t going to increase the value of the dollar, nor is it going to increase refining capacity, or reduce the average 4% yearly growth in demand.

  8. Arthur Says:

About as high as the prices have to get before America rejects the conservative corporatists and tries to reduce our dependency on oil.

America is addicted to oil. You don’t treat a junkie by finding him a cheaper source for heroin; you get him to the point to the pint he doesn’t need heroin anymore.

  9. B.Kevorkian Says:

Domestic oil production couldn’t meet demand for long – our reserves just aren’t that substantial. If we need to stop listening to the environmentalists on one issue, it should be nuclear power.

  10. Celticbloodwarrior Says:

ANWR is only a temporary solution to Americas problem. I don’t want to see this pristine land destroyed just so the oil campanies can make their billions. Because making billions is what this issue is really all about. America needs a long term solution to it’s energy problems and I hate to say it but that answer would be to go Nuclear. Nuclear energy is clean and last forever. If countries like France od all places can do it then so can America.

  11. Kelly B Says:

    Go right ahead!

I am a liberal and I think we should drill wherever oil exists in the U.S.!

But why can’t we also work towards expanding the alternative more environmentally friendly energies as well?

  12. imtheonlycathy Says:

Nuclear power is clean, efficient, safe and cheap. Even FRANCE uses it, for God’s sake. Yet we allow the Greenbots to remove all common sense from any discussion of energy supply.

We have plenty of unexploited oil reserves in California and off the West Coast. Yet the hysterical flailings of celebutards and their minions have shut down all our reserves.

We are spending $1.26 for every $1.00’s worth to produce ethanol, and burning up our CORN, drastically lowering the water table in corn producing areas, and encouraging farmers not to grow wheat in favor of corn. As a result feed prices have skyrocketed and cattle are being slaughtered rather than fed because no one can afford them. For the first time in history the U.S. is importing feed == much of it from hostile nations who can use their resources to political advantage against us.

Rice, wheat flour and other staples are already being rationed on both coasts at Costco and Sam’s Club stores.

The result of all this will be economic chaos unless the Fed decides to step up to the plate and start using our resources conscientiously rather than to gain political brownie points with the Green Monster.

These are the fruits of the newest fake religion being dictated to us by the worst hypocrites in history: the cult of "environmentalism".

And how many big gas guzzling SUV’s do we need on the road? I see them being driven all the time with only the driver in them. When are people going to stop driving the few blocks to the store instead of walking or riding a bike? I heard the speech Bush gave today and the fact that with drilling in ANWR America can produce a million gallons of gas. Trouble is we get a million gallons, but we will suck up a million and a half gallons. There needs to be a concerted and comprehensive effort to reduce our gas usage. Otherwise we will just be "spinning" our wheels.
