How is it going to help the present high price of gas if we allow drilling off the coast and it will take four

or five years to produce any oil and then the price will only drop four or five cents!

This doesn’t make any sense!

it makes sense to the oil companies and the politicians they buy. there was a show on last night where they showed how the companies are using the offshore areas they are already allowed to drill in. they aren’t using 1/4 of the area. they hold the drilling rights, but by NOT DRILLING, they can keep the prices artificially high. and who thinks that if they open up drilling, we in the u.s. will benefit from it? we don’t get any oil from the alaskan pipeline. oh wait. sorry. yes we do. whatever leaks out onto the ground.
