How much salt should I use to make salt water for hermit crabs?
I have some aquarium salt, but I don’t have the packaging, so I don’t know how much to add to water to make the right salt proportion in the salt water. I’ve read that land hermit crabs need a bowl of fresh water as well as a bowl of salt water. How much salt do I need to add to water?
It would be helpful to know either how much salt you hermit crab owners use, or how much salt those who own saltwater aquariums use to mimic the salt-to-water proportion in ocean water.

if you’re using instant ocean it’s 1/2 cup per US gallon

When I had hermit crabs, I gave them salt water for 3 days every 2 weeks. I got it bottled, too, because I didn’t like to mix it. I knew I would do it wrong or something. Just a tip

You are right, I give my crabs a bowl of fresh & and bowl of salt. A pinch of salt in a normal hermit crab water dish is fine.
