I heard that commercial bar soaps contain petroleum based ingredients. Is this bad for me?

How about everyday toothpaste that we buy? Can it be harmful?

yes petroleum (usually listed on the ingredients as petroletum) is bad only when applied to the scalp area- it stops the blood flow and oxygen flow to the hair follicles. And as far as toothpaste?…guess what, flouride is SO TOXIC that i couldnt list all of the dangers that flouride causes. for more information on what these toxins can do to you, you need to check out http://www.mercola.com and see how much you will learn- TRUST ME !!

Neither are harmful, or else there would have to be a warning label on it… since everything that could be dangerous in any way needs a label. >.>

the petroleum is not harmful. the toothpaste has fluoride, which can make you sick if you swallow too much of it, but you really shouldn’t be eating it, so you’re fine :]

As harmful as Vaseline or mineral oil is.

Yes to both questions. Floride is not good for you. They have banned the use in europe. Some petroleum is not good. You need to know what type it is. A very hard thing to find out.
