I own 75 acres in Texas. How do I find out if I have mineral rights and what would be the next step if I do?

What companys come out and test the land for natural gases or oil? How long is the process to find out the declaration of mineral rights? And who do I contact for this information?

    Go to your County Recorder’s office, get a copy of your recorded deed, it will list who has mineral rights,when they obtain the mineral rights and perhaps a date that they relinquish the mineral rights.

    If you want to find out if there are minerals beneath your land you should call land surveyors and find out if they have a department that does this. If not I am sure they can offer you a referral.
