I wonder if the president will change his tune on supporting offshore oil/gas drilling now?

Just look at the mess that’s going on off the shore of Louisianna..Accidents can happen no matter how careful people are and when they do they can be catastrophic to our environment! Whats you take on this matter?

The House just halted all those projects today. No offshore drilling for the new Energy Bill either! :)

He already announced no new leases until there are tougher regulations in place.

He NEVER supported it. He said he would look at possibilities to do this with extra SAFETY measures if they could be implemented. The exact measures that would have prevented this. So, once again our President is right and the right wing is no longer yelling drill baby drill but they are just SILENT on the issue. Now they will complain about how slow the cleanup is going.

IT will take 20 years. No matter what we do. Republican idiocy is the issue here. An oil rig owned by a REPUBLICAN BILLIONAIRE….Did you know that?

My take is that this disaster should be taken as a warning. Offshore drilling is a threat to our environment. YES our environment matters and YES it will effect you.

    No offshore drilling.
