If gas was near or over $4.00 gallon this Labor day, what would gas be with a Labor day and our jobs back?

Your first article is from March, 2010. What has been the reality since then? He’s shut down drilling in the Gulf and caused thousands to lose jobs. Even Exxon Mobile, who has spent billions researching a very large oil deposit up near Alaska is being virtually shut down by the EPA – no oil, even though it’s there.

Give me a break on your 2nd article from the World Socialists. There is no credibility at all from a group like that.

The UK Guardian article, definitely recent. While this is a grave departure from his policies of the past to stifle American oil production, it is obviously politically motivated. He sees the polls, he knows that he’s lagging. We have to wait to see if this goes any further than just words. Actions are what will count and the world speculators know that too.

We would have already been seeing the fruits of homecountry drilling if that moron hadn’t stopped us from doing it in the first place.

  3. vinny_says_relax Says:

    What difference does that make?

Presidents dont control speculators on the floor of the Dow.

  4. Five Led Says:

I really don’t understand the price of petroleum because it has nothing to do with supply and demand because we are swimming in it and it doesn’t seem to be based on the dollar because it fluctuates wildly, I think the Oil industry is just a quick way for people in Power to make money, indirectly. through back door deals from the governments of the world manipulating the price to make personal profits

  5. I hate questions Says:

Don’t believe everything you read. Just because he opened up drilling doesn’t mean he’s going to actually let them drill.

It’s funny how Republicans somehow find ways to
complain about Obama approving drilling, even though
Bush did nothing about it except sit on his hands about the issue.
