If i become a Chemical engineer can I upgrade courses to become a Petroleum engineer?
If i become a Chemical engineer can I upgrade courses to become a Petroleum engineer or get employed in the oil industry? I know chemical engineers get employed in oil companies but upgrading courses of petroleum would that give me better chance in the oil industry. I would like to do chemical engineering form McMaster Hamilton On and than upgrade courses from University of Alberta if possible

There are many chemical engineers employed in the oil industry. You really don’t need to be a petroleum engineer to work for an oil company or to even do petroleum engineering.
In my opinion, working as a chemical engineer entails a much higher level of engineering than that done by a petroleum engineer.
