Is it a good time to become a petroleum engineer?

I wanna if you think this time is a good time for one to become a petroleum engineer or is it too big of a risk to take? Also, do you think the risk is worth taking…is the job rewarding?

Is there a chance that oil is gone (i mean all over the world) or is it too early for that?
