Just really really really really curious. Why can’t you built a toy car with a petroleum using engine?

I mean aside from safety issue, why can’t you built a petroleum propelled engine small enough to be used in a toy car? By toy car, I meant those small remote control car.

What natural laws are preventing this from happening? Thanks ^_^
that’s freakin awesome. Do you know the average distance that these cars can travel?
Lot’s of good answers, I’ll put this on vote.

There are thousands of fuel powered RC car models available. Some of the larger engines will run (allthough not as well) on gasoline mixed with oil. The normal fuel is something like nitromethane, alcohol, and castor oil.

As far as I know, there is nothing preventing such a thing. Don’t see why a RC airplane motor couldn’t be used in a toy car. If you had the machining skills, you could build a scaled down V8 and transmission for that matter. It would cost a fortune, but it could be done.
