My husband wants to go work in Northern Canada?
My husband wants to work in Northern Canada during his summer break from school (something with the drilling, gas, or oil industry up there) and I’m hesitant. He says he can make a lot of money and it would only be for a few months but I just get a bad feeling about it.
Can anyone share their experience doing work like that or tell me something about working that kind of job that could put my mind at ease/ or convince me that I’m right in feeling unsure about supporting him going?

I have a few friends in Calgary right now (from Ontario) and they’re making crazy money! The living expenses are very high, but the pay more than makes up for it…I’ve heard they’re making 10-15 dollars at McDonalds, the oil fields pay a LOT of money.

Lots of Canadians do it – even for a summer job – they’ve been fine.

Sounds like a dangerous job! Can’t he find another job in town or closer to home? Money isn’t everything…….

i think you should trust him.he your husbnd and he know what he wants.you should fallow thru.you two should talk.
