okay, gas was .86 in 2008.
now it’s almost $ 5.00.
Why is there not more outrage over this matter ?
he stopped oil drilling in the gulf, and refused to drill in the USA.
we have plenty of oil and natural gas that can be easily converted for our cars, so what’s the deal ?
we need [...]

Help Please, from those that know about CNG vehicles.
I have been searching for the last few weeks for a good used CNG vehicle in California. They all seem to be priced higher than a regular car with lots of mileage but they seem to sale. Could I possibly be undervaluing these cars. With the Carpool [...]

If gas prices are so high & many prople would get out of their cars into public transit. Tell that to the comuters from Toronto who drive over 2 hours to get to work. Smog is everywhere in the greater Toronto. & everyone should carpool, walk, bike or take local transit. That’s maye the reason [...]

And business? I’m asking because I thought gas was one of those natural resources that is limited, and would eventually run out? Isn’t that why they’re trying to make cars that run with electricity, or other materials and resources? I’m just asking because back in high school, I vaguely remember us discussing [...]

If we can make gasoline that runs off of crude oil and cars that run on that gas, why can’t we do the same for Olive Oil?

We are orig owners. The coolant was leaking so engine overheated and ruined cylinder head gaskets and water pump. Plus we have a ton of oil leaks that need fixed so they would reseal the engine. Total repairs would be ,400 but wouldn’t technically fix everything. We still would have transfer case and rear diff [...]

I may not be an economics expert but I don’t think offshore drilling in the U.S. will help gas prices all that much. It will take ten years to see anything and with the growing use of cars in China and India I think the world demand for oil will only increase. Let’s [...]

It is strange that Dems/Libs have a mantra, we can’t drill our way out of this. True! but where are the alternatives and we all have cars that run on gasoline. Most of us can’t go out and purchase a ,000 automobile. Meanwhile gas prices soar because we are dependent on foriegners.

I read an article recently that used frying oil can be used as a fuel for cars – with a few engine modifications. Now here is a win – win situation: car owners get free fuel while restaurant owners get rid of their old cooking oil. And, no drilling, oil tankers, or money [...]

Hi there
As I said above, we own the right to park our cars on a parking area owned by our neighbours. We drive across their driveway to enter the parking area so I guess this is called a ‘right or way’.
My question is, who pays for the upkeep of the gravel on [...]

we had the same crisis two decades ago when gas was around .00 /gallon. cars then ran 20 mpg and the government was looking for a solution. Once the gas prices started to ease up, the government forgot about this until today where gas is 3/gallon some places like cali is reaching 4 dollars. the [...]

Do some people just not conceive of the notion that there are other possibilities? That oil is finite and the solution of drilling would just be prolonging the inevitable?
Do they not know about all of the fantastic new technologies available that can fuel and propel cars, the possibilities that exist so that we as [...]

We have been very lucky that our leaders bribed OPEC into taking only American Dollars in exchange for oil. Back in the days when we were somebody, this translated to cheap oil prices for the United States and were could afford our big gas guzzling cars and lots of cheap plastic things.
How will we [...]

I recently visited El Paso and I rode on many natural gas buses. They seemed to be capable of a decent speed and were very quiet. I was wondering if this technology is currently available for cars and what the price ranges were for them along with efficiency and cost.

Think about it, how many lard-butts are out there right now parked in a drive through at Micky D’s, yapping on their cell phones, while they’re waiting for their supersized Big Mac combo with a Diet Coke.
How many millions of gallons of gasoline and tons of exhaust would be saved or eliminated if these lazy [...]

hypothesis — Congress caused the energy crisis [oil price crisis] by denying Americans the right to produce significant added volumes of energy here at home while encouraging the economy to continue growing and thus using ever more energy.
Since the reaction to this artificial crisis has been the recent gasoline and then the government’s edict [...]

Americans seem to be struggling with the high cost of fuel for their cars and homes. The cost of food and energy are rising which elevates the cost of living. The dollar is [...]

Do you remember the commercials where T Boone Pickens says we should use natural gas in cars and use wind to make electricity?
Chesapeake Energy bought all kinds of leases but will let them go unexplored because natural gas prices have fallen so much.
We can’t use natural gas if they don’t drill for it. Right?

Because the Democrats do not allow offshore drilling. Bill Clinton refused to sign a bill to allow offshore drilling in the 90’s. Again, today, the democrats are not allowing it.
And yes, US has lots of oil.
Their usual answer is that we have to protect our environment and wildlife. So, it is OK to use [...]
