Its pollution free compared to gasoline. [...]

People I’ve worked with in various oil companies like ExxonMobil, Chevron, ARCO, BP, and Union Oil, tell me its about 10 years considering all of the time it takes to find the oil, build all of the infrastructure like drilling rigs and pipelines, abide by govt red tape, and for the refinery to process and [...]

For instance, when you hear that price of oil is 0 per barrel today, who is paying that price? Aren’t the oil companies the ones doing the drilling and refining it into gasoline and whatever else? Does it ever really leave their hands until it’s sold to independent gas stations or to consumers [...]

The US has untapped oil and natural gas both underground and off shore, yet your party blocks any and all efforts for recovery of our own natural resources forcing imported oil and gasoline to be used. We all agree alternative energy needs to be used but thats years if not decades away, The public needs [...]

I believe we need to get off of oil not only because of the environment but also because of nation security. We are financing our enemies. I have no problem with increasing tax on gasoline but it must be done slowly in order to allow people time to adjust and it must apply [...]

Several month back, President Bush firmly committed to domestic drilling as a facet of America’s energy policy and as a means of breaking our dependence on foreign oil. The left, particularly Obama, said that this would have no affect on the price of oil or gasoline. And yet within weeks, the price of oil dropped [...]

It is strange that Dems/Libs have a mantra, we can’t drill our way out of this. True! but where are the alternatives and we all have cars that run on gasoline. Most of us can’t go out and purchase a ,000 automobile. Meanwhile gas prices soar because we are dependent on foriegners.

supply and demand like everyone sez – why doesn’t our government simply suspend the trading of Oil Futures until such time as the price of oil adjusts back between 50 – 75%?
Wouldn’t this be more simpler than any off shore drilling that will take four to five years to put into effect and only reduce [...]
