Weird Potential Employer?

I got a call for a potential position as a landman- I believe it it’s a partnership. Anyways, the guy asked me on the phone after giving me the job details- what my living situation was like….if I had any cats or if I lived with my husband. I thought the question was inappropriate. Today he emails me asking for a "recent photograph". and this is supposed to be a professional job since I have a graduate degree. anyways Isn’t that fishy?
I meant to say the interviewer is a general partner for a partnership.
