What could happen if i light a small amount of petroleum distillates on fire?
okay so there’s this adhesive glue in my house, and it says very flammable, and on the back it says "contains petroleum distallates." so, being a pyro and all, that basically means "light me on fire." i’m planning to do it from a safe distance and take various percautionary measures, but just out of curiosity, what is going to happen?

Dude… Burning superglue (or PVC glue) is just fucktarded. I’m sorry. people walking around burning whatever they can find and calling themselves "pyros" are just fucked up. Just stop. Or at least continue, and poison yourself with the vapors.
If you really want to burn petroleum distillates, actually buy real, purified stuff (naptha, mineral spirits, some kinds of paint thinner etc.) from a hardware store. You can soak up cotton in this stuff, and light that on fire, and make torches, etc. but it will smell pretty bad, and you might pass our from the smell. The ‘cleanest’ petroleum distillates (imo) are either the lighter fluid ones (ronsonol or zippo fluid) – i know these ones are safe because i’ve done some fire tricks with these, or the medicinal mineral spirit ones (they’re used in medicine, so they should be clean).
