What is the life-cycle cost of petroleum products, well-to-station?

What is the total life-cycle cost of bringing petroleum products from the Mddle East to the average American gas station? How much fuel is required to transport and refine crude oil?

Right now, ah about $3.20/gallon minus taxes and the profit the gas station makes. Its supply and demand.

The cost to transport is minuscule(that is until they have an oil spill). Tankers are slow and extremely efficient when compared to a truck.

When they refine crude oil. There is always compounds in it other than gas and oil that people don’t want to buy. Thats the carbon chemicals that are burned to power the refinery.

    Hope this helps
