What is the significance of the red color of the Gulf oil spill? I thought crude was black, like in black?
gold. I just searched on –> "red colored crude oil" with the quotes in and I got ZERO hits. Does it mean the oil is "young" or what?

The oil is reacting from nitrate fertilizers floating in the detral layer of the river out flow.It is plastomer foam as well as a diluent.nasty.
