Do some research, find out how the oil companies have millions of acres of oil reserves they aren’t drilling, imagine why that might be, figure out who in this administration are oilmen and what their motives might be for having high-priced oil, figure out why nothing was done about this when the repugnicans controlled the entire government.

What about the 360,000 acres of land in this country which are currently under lease by oil companies and NOT BEING TOUCHED? We can’t stop them from drilling on lands they already have under lease for that purpose. They’re just not DOING it.
Why can’t we drill there, instead of opening up protected lands to drilling?
Why? Because you conservative goons know that liberals will never go for that. So you deliberately choose that option in order to blame liberals for preventing the magical replenishment of the "restricted supply," when the truth is, if we weren’t needlessly occupying a country in the Middle East, the overseas oil interests wouldn’t be restricting the supply to force us to pay more.

as for off shore drilling – the Republicans have blocked that just as much as the Democrats have.
Democrats don’t like paying ..$ 4.00 per gallon either.
and we are going to Loath ..$ 5.00 per gallon also.

You are seriously confused. Must either be from to much FOX Noise, Hannity, and Rush or you are just not that bright to begin with.
Liberals are protesting ‘any and all oil drilling’? In ANWR probably. Where else? Fact is oil and gas exploration and drilling are going on at records levels all throughout the US. Active rigs are up, work over rigs are up, permits to drill on federal land are up 300%, 10,000 drilling permits issued in the last 5 years. Oil production in several oil producing states (North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma) are all on the increase.
The blocking of the offshore drilling is a result of an executive order signed by Bush Sr and backed up by Bush Jr, not by anything any Democrat has done.
The current high prices are not the result of any supply shortage. The main factors? Oil speculators, unstable US interest rates, and probably the biggest factor would be the falling value of the US dollar overseas.
Please do some reading and research prior to your next question and then maybe you won’t come off as a complete idiot.
