when you lease your oil, gas or mineral rights to a company, how do you know if they are producing anything?

I signed leases with two companies in 2004 and I have not heard anything.

depends what kind of lease you have. do you have one where they just pay you a flat rate, or is it based on production? you should contact them and find out
