Which major offers the most opportunities, and fun to do mechanical, petroleum, or biomedical engineering?
I am in school right now and i just cant decide what I want to specialize in when it comes to engineering. I have it narrowed down to biomedical, mechanical, and petroleum. If anyone has some experience in any of these fields can you please give me some insight.

My vote is for biomedical engineering. It is a GREAT primer for medical school (if you’re thinking about it), and good preparation for many fields in chemistry or biology. I’ve often heard that the next "dot-com boom" will be in the health and medicine fields. Curing cancer, eradicating diseases, manipulating DNA… most of these are well on their way. There’s a lot of room for diversity, and plenty of good paying jobs.
If you decide to go another way, a mechanical engineering degree isn’t a bad way to go either, but I’d probably recommend getting a Master’s degree, as the job opportunities are a lot better.
And here’s to hoping that petroleum engineering is a dying field!
