Why are we so SELF-DESTRUCTIVE in the U.S.A.?????
I just read this headline and cannot believe my eyes.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080707/ap_on_re_us/wild_horses_euthanasia
I admit I have not read article yet, mainly because I hate news dealing with unnecessary death of animals. But unless these horses are sick or a danger to human beings, why destroy them???
If OIL has indeed reached its peak, and even if there’s still some for the next fifty years, it will probably be only for the wealthy!!!!!!!! HORSES will be much needed such as they were up till one hundred years ago.
Also_and this may freak out some people_there are many round the world that do indeed eat horse meat, which means that if world food supplies keep been endangered thanks to extreme food prices, gas, natural disasters, wars, etc., this is PERFECT FOOD which we’re disposing of right now!!!

This is not right. It isn’t the horses fault there’s an "overpopulation" of them. Instead, they should seek alternatives.

Because you are led by a big daft buffoon, who happens to look like the cowardly lion from the wizard of oz.

I agree with you. Why can’t the government just leave nature alone. Nature will deal with overpopulation just fine. Whether it’s horses or people. Starvation and disease is not pretty, but it works just fine. There is no reason to kill.

Is there anyone who is willing to make a significant contribution to Uncle Sam for rounding up the horses for adoption? We are living in a real world with limited resources and we have to make the right decision based on reasoning not emotion.
If the horse issue disturbs us, why no body stands up to speak for those unborn babies who have been slaghtered by their parents through abortion on daily base. That is really self-destructive by destroying their own blood and flesh.
