Why does Nanny Pelosi hate America so much she is unwilling to allow us to drill for our own oil in the Gulf?
Democrats like to attack evil American oil companies and block them from drilling the energy deposits off our coasts. It doesn’t seem to bother Democrats that China and Cuba are finalizing plans to drill for oil in these same areas 50 miles from Key West.
Pelosi in her weekly press conference called drilling a "Republican hoax."
The Hill reported:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday shut the door on expanding oil and gas drilling beyond areas that have already been approved for energy exploration, drawing a clear distinction from her counterparts in charge of the Senate.
“This call for drilling in areas that are protected is a hoax, it’s an absolute hoax on the part of the Republicans and this administration” Pelosi said at her weekly press conference. “It’s a decoy to punt your attention away from the fact that their policies have produced -a-gallon gasoline.”

Actually, T. Boone Pickens (oil man, Bush supporter) is stating that we just can’t drill our way out of the current problem at all. I will give you a link to his site and energy plan below.

No, Nancy Pelosi does not hate America. This is a dumb statement I see from neocons all the time. It makes them appear petty, foolish, and misinformed.
That fact is that American oil companies own 60 million acres of leases that the could have been drilling in all along. The fact that they haven’t done so speaks volumns about where their priorities lie. These areas, unlike the "offshore" areas often refered to have proven oil reserves.
The amount of misinformation among those who espouse the ideas of the right, is appaling. Please research before posting uninformed questions. You’ll look a lot smarter.
