Both have been considered equally important to our history. Beyond that, we need an energy policy, which we don't have right now. If we keep energy the way it is now it will cost the taxpayer billions. Oil is driving the war, the economy, and so much more. Beyond that there is no enough oil, part of the problem right now is the bubble in the commodities market.
