Will licking petroleum jelly hurt my dog?
I use creamy petroleum jelly hand cream on my hands and feet once in awhile and my dog will go to great lengths to lick it off even when I put socks on. If there is a chance that this compound will hurt her I will just stop using it. Thanks for any info/advice.

no probably wont hurt her. if she got a good lick in it might gove her some diarrhea as it does act as a laxative but that is about it. good luck

It will just make him poop easier. (Unless he gets too much.)

It can give her diarrhea because of it’s lubricating properties. Some of the perfumes in the scented products can cause digestive upsets. Petroleum jelly is the active ingredient in most hair ball medications. A little lick now and then most likely won’t hurt her. Alot will grease her up pretty good and can cause diarrhea.
